Porsche 911

2010 Porsche 911 and 911 Turbo

Stoddard is Cleveland 911 and Cleveland 911 Turbo Dealer in Northeastern Ohio

Its not just about speed. Its about cornering and shifting and braking and speed.

The drive-train provides the heart and soul of every Porsche. The 2010 911 features an entirely new range of engines as well as the first application of Porsches' 7-speed Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual clutch gearbox.

The 911 features two entirely new flat six engines. Both powerplants feature the amazing technology of DFI or Direct Fuel Injection. DFI, first seen on the new Porsche Cayenne, has the ability to dramatically increase power production while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption and lowering vehicle emissions. This feat is achieved by injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber at up to 1740 psi with millisecond precision. The technology behind all of this is highly complicated but the benefits to the driver are very clear; more of what you want, less of what you don't.

Power output is always a major feature of any new Porsch The 3.6L engine produces 345 HP while the 3.8L "S" engine generates 385 HP. Torque output is up on both engines with the 3.6L producing 288 lb-ft and the 3.8L cranking out 310 lb-ft. The increased power numbers also come with increased fuel economy. The 3.6L engine mated to the PDK transmission is rated at an amazing 27 MPG highway. Both new engines also exceed the strict LEV II and EU5 emission standards.

Porsches' Doppelkupplungg (PDK) transmission has changed the 911 driving experience like nothing before it. PDK is essentially two gearboxes in one. The PDK offers the freedom of a manual transmission with the comfort and convenience of a traditional automatic. With two clutches, seven gears, and the ability to select manual or automatic shifting, the PDK offers faster acceleration with no interruption in the flow of power to the wheels. PDK is simply faster and smoother than any human using a traditional manual transmission. Gear changes with PDK are measured in hundredths of a second! PDK offers you a race car when you want it, a luxury car when you don't.

The newest version of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is featured on the 2010 911. PCM 3.0 features a new 6.5 inch touch screen along with Hard Drive memory for the optional navigation system and Bluetooth technology. The newest version of BOSE 5.1 surround sound along with XM satellite radio, iPod connection and USB connectivity provide endless entertainment. Active seat ventilation is also available. Seat ventilation evaporates moisture and perspiration from the seating surfaces leaving the passengers comfortable even in hot weather. No other sports car offers the performance, comfort, and daily usability of the new 911.
